Wie soeben bekannt wurde, hatte Racso Agroyam, der Mastermind von Hocico und Dulce Liquido, vergangene Woche einen Unfall, bei dem zwei Bandscheiben so stark beschädigt wurden, dass er die kommenden Wochen sich nicht normal bewegen können wird. Die Ärzte prognostizieren eine teilweise Bewegungsfähigkeit in frühestens 6 Wochen, demzufolge wurde der Auftritt auf dem Mera Luna dieses Jahr gecancelt.
Die Band reagierte auf diese, für die Fans sicherlich enttäuschende Nachricht, mit dem Versprechen, den Auftritt im kommenden Jahr auf dem Mera Luna nachzuholen.
Die geplante Exklusiv-Präsentation von „Wrack And Ruin“ am 11. August in Leipzig soll aber wie geplant stattfinden, dies bestätigte Out of Line.
Ebenfalls unbeinträchtigt von der Verletzung wird die geplante Tour ab Oktober sein, die Ärzte gaben dafür bereits grünes Licht.
Erk kommentierte dieses Geschehen folgendermaßen:
Some days ago unfortunately Racso had an accident while carrying some equipment at his flat hurting two discs of his spinal cord seriously. He is going to be fine, but he is unable to walk at this moment and the doctor’s will make him complete a 6 week rehabilitation to heal.
For obvious reasons we have to cancel the two Dulce liquido shows in Germany and Holland, but the Hocico show on August 11th will take place against any circumstance since we both want it this way for respect to all of you who are going to be there. At this moment Racso and me are figuring out what to do to make that night still very special to present the new Hocico album.
Racso’s wish after completing his rehabilitation is to be ready to tour all along Europe as planned for this end of year.
